I was working in my yard and turned over a piece of an old tree. The wood is still damp, and I was scooping out the old roted wood when this thing come crawling out. There 3 altogether.

This forum is for question relating to adding data to the BugFiles database.

We have a forum on Garden Pests and Diseases here: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/f/pad/all/
and a forum on Bug and Insect Identification here: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/f/bugid/all/
and if you post your question on either of these, you may get some help,

Having said that, I can say that your grub is certainly not a termite. I think it is probably the larval stage of a beetle or a moth. Both groups have species whose larvae feed on rotting wood
