Sewing fleece

I have a pattern to make a robe and I purchased medium weight fleece to use. Does anyone know if fleece is usually preshrunk? I don't really want to wash 7 yards of fairly heavy fleece in my washer and there is no close laundromat.
Thanks for any advice!
