Hi Kay, That's quite a list. I have zone envy. We're not as far along in Spring here in North GA. Neighboring states (and others) are always welcome here. This thread was started by a Tennesseean...
I'm thrilled with what's blooming in my yard! I moved here 6 months ago, from Missouri, so this just thrills me!!! Thanks for the nice welcome - I'm happy to be here!
Camellia, Azalea, Dutch Iris, Creeping Phlox, Hyacinths (about done) Daffs (also about done), Crabapple, Almond, Pansies, Yarrow about to open, Carolina Silver Bell tree, Redbud, Carolina Jessamine are all blooming now! Everything is covered in pine pollen though - YUK!! Samantha
Samantha, so amazing that you have pine pollen already. I am very aware of it, but it's an April thing for us, just a short distance away. And Yarrow ready to bloom! amazing what a few (well, more than a few I guess) miles means.
(edited to add 'miles' so it makes sense!)

cedar - Yes - we are buried in the stuff! there's even a collection of it around my pool & at the bottom. Last night I was at an outdoor church function for a couple of hours, and when I got home, I noticed my black shoes were covered in yellow/green pollen! UUGGGHHHH! Samantha
Forsythia
Bradford Pear
Jonquils
Except for the above lots of stuff is starting to bud out, but not blooming yet.
Snapdragons
pansies
stock
primrose
wisteria
annual phlox
daffodils
scillia
dianthus
quince
babys breath
daphne
iceland poppies, heavily budded
columbine budding

camellia
Well, we got some rain today, so now the road in our subdivision is greenish/yellow - at least that pollen's out of the AIR!!! Samantha
Is this the right spot for northeastern Alabama-ers to sign on? We're at the base of Lookout Mountain.
My baby's breath is two inches high...how is it that others have it blooming?
Thanks!
Debi
We just had three days of rain here and I see more and more green coming up. I'm waiting patiently for the sun to come out ~ and more blooms. Would love to see some pics Kay Jones :)
Welcome DebiH. I'd say you're close enough!
Microclimates are a mystery. Your elevation (even as the base of the mtn) may be the reason. But what kind of baby's breath are we talking about? I don't grow that....
Okay, KayJ - what is it? Looks beautiful with 2 colors of flowers.
Today: Clematis armandii! yeah. My first blooms on this plant.
Harmonyplace, the 'blue bells' you have are actually grape hyacinths, I believe.

No need to be sorry - different areas call the same flower by different names. They are the sweetest flower!
i don't remember alot i have in my garden they have been there so long
We have a Joke at my house about "butter cups" i have all my life called them "butter cups" well my DH grew up calling them "Jonquils" and my son was told they were "Daffodils" by his teacher
So at my house every spring i get "BOY them Butter Cup , Jonquil , Daffodil's sure are pretty" LOL
Harmony, that's what my gramma called daffodils too, when we were growing up. They are pretty. I have grape hyacinths everwhere, they have actually jumped over the borders and are growing in the yard beside the flower beds! ;)
I have an azalea that is starting to bloom on the back side, up against the house and vinca, creeping phlox.
