Saw one in the back yard tree just now. Now I just KNOW for sure that Spring is truly here!! We made it through another long, cold Winter.

I have been seeing some Robins here in Maine over the past couple of weeks which is always a sure sign of spring. I was all excited and was telling a local farmer about it. He said they never left this year! That's ok, I'm still thinking they are a sign of SPRING!

That's what I thought! And I want to know why I didn't see any all winter. They sure are plentiful now!
I never saw any all winter. Just saw them the other day.
The only over winter sighting where the ones which came the one day to finish the crabapples. When they start appearing inthe spring, the winter residents can't be told from migrants. Ask them?
I haven't seen any yet... but it's rare for me to spot one any time of the year
We have winter robins along the lake shore, its the ones that start singing at dawn that are real robins.
I also heard and saw a song sparrow. What a sweet sign of spring.
Remember we werent talking like this a month ago.
