Today's Weather in Your Garden - 41

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Somehow Louise, there doesn't seem to be as much snow this year as there was last year. I'm sure it will have all turned to beautiful mud by the time you head back North.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Just back from the Scout Pinewood Derby finals. My little guy won! He was so excited. It was very cute.

31 degrees here.

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

What are the Scout Pinewood Derby Finals? and congrats to your cute son!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

It's a car race. You get a block of pine wood and wheels and nails. You have to cut it, paint it and race it on the provided track.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Here's the 'dramatic' finish.

glad to read the temps coming up for all back home.....it was in mid-40's at Dad's yesterday......it would be nice if it would just go up from here, wouldn't it?

here's a little shot of color for everyone.....I am really surprised this petunia made it through the winter, I planted 2 in the fall, the other one heaved out of the pot and died when I wasn't paying attention......

I'm more than happy to share whatever color I've got!

I sowed morning glory seeds in huge pots on Sunday, they are already popping up through the soil! I know I may be sorry if they get out of control and re-seed themselves, but it is so hard to have color here in the middle of summer...the MG's can take it and look good doing it......

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Great shot, Audrey!

Thomaston, CT

Great job on the car! Auto engineer in the making! God knows we need them! The weather here is 30's & cloudy---going up to 45---maybe 60 on Sun. I have hyacinths popping up in southside garden.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks Robin. I did the cutting and sanding. He helped with the painting. The ironic thing is that I have NO carpentry skills at all. I cut it with a dull hacksaw, while holding over the edge of a chair! Some of the others looked like they were designed and cut with a CAD/CAM system. Pretty funny.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Good thing you didn't cut thru the chair Victor.

They say it's going to be in the 50's clouds rolled in and it's breezy so it actually feels colder than yesterday.
Tomorrow 60.
Hubby is making a trip up to Cabela's http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/content/community/aboutus/retail/retail_stores/hamburg/hamburgphotogallery.html
with the kids while I go to a Tastefully Simple party.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I'd love to go to Cabelas. I always buy from them. Never been to the stores. Heard they're great. Is Tastefully Simple a woman's thing? Male strippers?

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

lol
http://www.tastefullysimple.com/Cultures/en-US/

If you like to eat.....
For some reason hubby didn't want to go
??????

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

So like a Tupperware party for good food?

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

ya

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Not that I'll be buying anything.... I mean, come on, $8 for dip mix????

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Ridiculous.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

your hubby will jen - it is a proven fact that a human can not walk into a cabela's or bass pro shop and come out empty handed.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

lol

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

56 degrees!

Its like 42 - I went out. Tried it dont like it.

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)
