That's a great looking bird tropic!
This one was a friend's pet. Makes photographing birds a lot easier, other than nailing their feet to a log ;O)

Thanks KaperC. They're a night bird and have this strange eerie wailing call that really carries through the night air. The Aborigines say that they cavort with the night devils (spirits) and that they have the "devil's eye". Their eyes are quite large, no doubt to make the most of the low light conditions. They prefer to run to avoid danger but fly quite well if needed.
