Repairing broken pots

You all have to see this. I don't know how to make any pottery pots, but I can sure break them.

On one of the Yahoo sites, someone posted how to repair broken pots by drilling a hole on each side of the broken piece and the pot, then tying them with wire!!! I love this idea, and I need to fix a couple pots here too. Only thing is I don't know how it was sealed inside, but I bet we can use silicone..

here are a couple of pots that have been repaired. Any other ideas will be appreciated and any other thoughts of sealing too.. no longer have to throw them away!!! And they look pretty neat too.
