Help with quilt pattern / seen it?

I love this pattern and want to know what the method is. It looks like string piecing but the strips are not equal widths. Does anyone know how to make this quilt? Is the heart actually sewn blocks or applique of a heart after the pattern is cut out of a string pieced one? So any questions, any help is appreciated
