multi-function copier, etc.

i don't know if this thread should be in electronics but here goes. i just purchased a macbook and my old printer, copier, fax, scanner isn't compatible with it due to age and other issues. i've been researching new ones but the feedback on amazon is so varied. it's kind of hard to find one compatible with the mac in the first place but then i read all the trash talk on the ones i do find, i don't know what to buy.

i want one that has a flat bed scanner/copier along with the regular feeder, one that has a memory card slot for my camera, color and b&w, not huge and under 250. any suggestions? hp, epson, brother, whatever. i just need one soon! thanks in advance for any help.
