Best way to clean up?

Bartlett, TN(Zone 7b)

This is about 4 or so years old (will goodwin I think. The blooms are about 6 or 7 inches) and it blooms beautifully every year but I'd like to clean it up and shape it a bit.

Any advise? It is supposed to be in the 60's all week and it knows because it has new buds all over.

too jealous of your spring weather and clems already budding to even reply.
if it is a will goodwin, it is surely a nice one for 4 years old.
all the web site have pruning info on every variety. clematis on the web for starters!
good luck.
