Went off the grid last week. It was not my intention -nature at her finest. Discovered a few things I wish to have before I go off intentionally...

A big sink.
Indoor plumbing --barely
A Solar water heater
A Compost water heater (livestock etc)
Water pressure
A Freezer
An outlet to charge cell phones and a computer
1 light
A bigger wood stove
A solar oven
Perhaps an easier way to wash clothes than by hand
NO WALL TO WALL CARPETING

Just sharing here--Thought of you guys often when I was jury rigging all manner of useful alternatives...;-) Thing is, I really don't think it would take much...
