Here's an ackbasswards seed offering . . .

For the past year or so I have added a little package of lagniappe whenever a DG member requested seeds from me - - my Mystery Mix. Well, today I am offering outright this year's version of LazLo's Mystery Mix.

I'm finished with my winter sowing. I've also got all the seeds I need for direct sowing after our last frost . . . and I have oodles of ood lots of seeds left over. Some seed I harvested from my 2008 garden. Some I have left over from seed scarfing expeditions in and around Austin (which means wildflower seeds are included). The rest are superfluous seed trades or commercial packaged seed that will not do well if stored beyond this year. I put seeds from all these resources into a huge chilli bucket and shook the dickens out of it. All mixed up - - garden flowers and ornamentals - - wildflowers - - annuals and perennials. Nothing in the mix is ugly or stinky. Nothing in the mix bites. I've tried to keep out anything that's invasive.

I will send anyone a nice packet of the 2009 Mystery Mix seeds in return for a self-addressed envelope (SAE) with 59¢ in loose U.S. postage stamps. Please make note on the lower left corner of the outer envelope:   "Mystery Mix"

I Wintersowed the Mystery Mix you sent me and it has babies coming up already. Where would you suggest I plant them?

in 9a - i would put them in sunny locations that get some shade in the summer from 2 or 3 pm on . . .

I'll send out the envelopes tomorrow.. plan on WSing these too :)

Okay...will have to send 2 42 cent stamps. That is all I have and it is below zero windchill today.. so NOT driving 7 miles to the post office! lol
