Rain Chain question

Afternoon Clay Dwellers!
I hope everyone has ample amounts of clay under their finger nails.

I started a sample rain chain last night. I only did 4-5 rings to see how it will turn out. My question is this. After firing the "greenware" and I glaze it.. It has to be re-fired for the final firing...If I glaze on al sides.. what is the best way to place it in the kiln so it won't stick to the kiln. Should it be stilted?
