I just made my first "pinch pot" today in ceramics class. What fun! Didn't have anything in mind, just wanted to follow what the instructor was saying, so I picked up the clay and started doing what she was saying. Didn't care for the other technique we tried, though - laying different shapes inside another pot to create a 'cracked' look on the outside. I squished mine down too much so there was no pattern.
Next week we try a plate! Anyone else new besides me?
