leaf minor usually leave a little trail on the leaf or that is the ones that I have seem shiny trail that you can fallow that is how it starts then it will cover most of the leaf and turn it all shiny it is hard to get rid of if you have other plants in the same room move them but not with other plants since they usually start in the soil and move up the plants so make sure to treat the soil
in my experience with columbines it says to cut foliage to the ground and do not compost it but garbage or burn the foliage
