How Do You Do Raku?

Canyon Lake, TX(Zone 8b)

First - Glad to see this new forum.

Second, Let's talk about Raku and You....

I have been away from my pottery for a couple years now, but fully intend to get back in it this year. First I have to get a garden planted.

I have a couple electric kilns, one gas Raku kiln, a hydraulic extruder, manual wall mount extruder, wheel and gobs of other pottery stuff. I like working with Raku clay, cone 04 - 06 clays, and slip.

Here is a picture of a folksy garden piece I did some years back at a workshop held by Billy Ray Mangham. He does some funky hand building. To see some of his work just Google "Billy Ray Mangham".
