Hyacinth Bean Vine for trade

North Richland Hills, TX(Zone 8a)

I have seeds from my purple hyacinth bean vine that I'd like to trade for other types of seeds. This is the best picture I could find in my files that shows both the lavender colored flowers and bright purple pods, as well as the pretty foliage. The seeds germinate very easily and grow fast.

I'm not sure exactly what type of seeds I'd like in return. I love hibiscus and other tropical things, but annuals (petunias, begonias, etc) or other things would be great too. Just let me know what you have available for trade & I'm sure we can work something out.

I plan to put 25 beans/seeds in each envelope (unless more are requested). My experience was that these have a high germination rate. I'll let you know once I don't have any more to trade (haven't counted to see how many I have total yet).

Hi
I would like to try them. I have a trade list. I also have herbs that are not yet listed and I have some Lillie's though I don't know what they are or the color. I mention that as I saw your trade list and you seem to like lillies.
Dmail me if you find something you are interested in trading for.

Hi Jenepat,

Can I get 50-100 of your seeds?

In return, you can choose 3-5 species from my list: http://www.freewebs.com/belevenissen-van-een-tuinkabouter/apps/webstore/ or from my haves list here on Dave's (which a little less up-to-date).

Please send me d-mail if you're interested!

Thanks!

I have some columbine seeds.
they are purples, red, and some pinks, and white.
I think most are the double flowering kind.
very frilly looking.

here is the white one.
The seeds are mixed btw.
Harvested from my plants last year, so I assume they would grow ok?

Tuinkabouter - sounds great! I sent you a dmail. Let me know if you have the seeds I requested. Plus I'll need some pointers on sending seeds out of the country.

FrillyLilly and Jenepat,
I'd love some Hyacinth and columbine seeds if you still have some available?
I want to experiment with different sowing methods to add to the sowing spreadsheet:

and need more than just a package if you have some available?

I've just placed an order to start seeds for the Iowa Round up. Does any of these tickle your fancy?
I also have old fashioned barn hollyhocks that are pastels. I like the single varieties better than the overblown
ones. I also have tons of Mg's - from Grandpa Ott to Heavenly blue. I let them tangle so the seeds are a mixed lot.
I expect the seeds I've ordered this next week.

I don't really have any columbine seeds left, just a few.
I will pay better attention this summer and save more. I have never saved seeds much before, but I see that columbine seeds are popular ;)
They are just mixed colors. I will take care to separate them this year and save lots for trading.
I'm sorry I don't have enough right now.
Columbines seed pretty freely, so maybe someone else will have some?
I have never grew from seed, I assume they come back true?
I have several varieties, wonder if they cross and then would not be true?
I guess I will have to experiment with that.

starting2luvz4 - How many seeds do you think you'll need for your experiment. I'm not sure if you've ever worked with Hyacinth Bean Vine seeds before, but they are big and very easy to work with. And from my experience (and others), they germinate very easily. Do you think 50 seeds would be enough to experiment with?

I'm sure I can find something on your list I'd like to try out. But I need to research them since I don't know what many are (new gardener here). I'll do that tomorrow and will get back to you by dmail.

Thanks!
