Photos have to be birthday quality? Oh, dear. No wonder I keep using other people's pix! It has not been a good photography year for me, so I keep recycling the same couple of flowers over and over!

Happy Birthday again, as long as I'm here... I thought I had some tulips somewhere but they're probably fuzzy. Ah, here you go, Marie Antoinette.

Thank you they are very pretty. I wish some one would breed some tulips to grow down here in the heat. Also lilacs, and peonies and-----I could go one for every.

I'll give you lilacs, but again, I didn't take the picture. But I'm friends with the photographer!

This one is from the Arnold Arboretum. It's named Frederick Law Olmsted, who is one of my heroes.

Or did you want a purple one? This one is called Purple Haze.

Oh you are being cruel. Next you will be showing me picture of peonies. I want to grow one so bad. I did get a Clematis through our hot summer and it even bloomed this fall.

I can't even get peonies to grow at my "new" (15 years now) house. We had some at the "old" house (where I lived for 7 years), but they were already there.

Flowerjen, those tulips look like a variety I have. They come back well every year. I think they're a Darwin hybrid.

Carrie, I love Frederick Law Olmsted, too. Those white lilacs are gorgeous.
