Indigo Bunting (Passerina cyanea)
Absolutely beautiful!
Some of these male Indigo Buntings shown have a black bill and some a yellow bill. Why?
They do not have a yellow bill. The only explanation that I have is that the lighting often distorts the true color of something depending on the angle that the light hits the subject. In this case, a shiny bill will look lighter in color.
