Shining Bronze-cuckoo (Chrysococcyx lucidus)
Very cool looking bird Kennedy!
That is a very beautiful bird, love the markings!
I had wanted a photograph of this little cuckoo for a long time. I was with our Field Naturalists Club, exploring a salt marsh on the coast, when we heard a Shining Bronze-cuckoo calling from the far side of the salt-marsh. One of our members asked if we would like to see it close to and proceeded to give a perfect imitation of the bird's call. Almost immediately, the bird came flying across the marsh and landed on a bush right beside him. I was lucky. I was the closest of the whole group to the bird and was able to get several excellent photos.
