House Sparrow (Passer domesticus)
What a beautiful pic, Wallaby.
Thank you garednpom! I was quite close, it was interesting to watch him carefully pick off the aphids. I have seen House Sparrows on roses doing the same, the best pest control there is! :)
hehe, I hope they eat the aphids in my garden. It is a beautiful photo indeed.
Thanks angele! I'm sure they will, it's amazing the varied diet they have. Somehow we have had the impression they like to eat people's chicken food alone, lol.
Great shot! wallaby! how concentrated he's examining for more aphids! Beautiful lupine too, looks like a wild specie!
That is a wonderful shot Janet!
Thank you both! Yes the Lupin is very nice, I had a few set from Lupinus 'Lulu' which was supposed to be dwarf but wasn't that short. I also have a long lived blue and white Russell Hybrid which it must have crossed with, I now have a variety of pinks, reds, and purples! Some of the red or pink ones are highly scented, that is where my Megachile willughbiella comes each year to protect his Lupins, lol!
