Merry (belated) Christmas and Happy New Year!

What have you been up to now? Do you ever rest?

This guy isn't as cool as your buddies, but I like sharing my yard with him/her.

Well , well ! What have we here , has the Iceman been awoken from hibernation ? Sorry to disturb your slumber . No , no rest here . Most days at least in the afternoon a heavy long sleeve shirt is enough to brave our cold here . How about you , are you able to get out ?

I like/love your owl , I have started drawing yet another owl here at night though I have yet to identify him . I hear but have not gotten a good visual sighting of him/her . I finished a project that has suceeded in drawing some different raptors here . Rather than repost all of it , I will give the link to SW forum where I have it all illustrated .

The first week or so after I moved/put up this tree nobody would perch on it , I guess they thought it was unnatural for a tall tree to suddenly appear where there had not been one . But now several hawks and another owl and several others are using it as a perch as intended .

In other news here are several more links of what is going on .

So when you're not picking icecicles out of your whiskers , what are you up to ?

I have been able to get out most days. We were snowed in and the office was closed last Friday. We had an ice storm last night, so I cut and hauled wood for the wood burner all day today. Tomorrow It's going up into the 50s with thunderstorms predicted. And, just when the ice was getting safe enough to get some ice fishing in! :(

Glad that you like the owl. He watches me all day while I work. Really good to hear that all of your hard work moving that tree trunk paid off! I can only see some of your links. I let my membership run out. This forum doesn't require membership, so I still check in here off and on.

Other than the normal winter routine there's not much going on here. We are hoping that the ground isn't too frozen. With the snow pack we have and thunderstorms coming flooding is a real possibility. Winter in Michigan is something that everyone should experience at least once - just kidding!
