Cedar18 wonders about uses for vellum papers, particularly painted vellums. I thought I'd start a new thread about the topic since I'm sure many, myself included, would like to see what other people have done with vellums.
I've used them, but don't have any photos or scans of my vellum projects handy. Vellum is fun to work with! Because it's translucent, you can layer it on top of patterned papers to give you different effects. Here are a few links to give you ideas until folks post some photos here.

Adhering vellum to your papers can be a challenge since it is translucent. Fastening vellum with brads or eyelets works well, and there are special adhesives for vellum, ranging from adhesive tape runners to sprays. There's a video on YouTube which addresses this issue: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9Zt6ZgP9WQ
