2009 Georgia Organics Conference

Lawrenceville, GA(Zone 7b)

This years GO conference will be held in Decatur this year.

Keynote speaker will be Michael Pollan: Author of "Omnivores Dilemma" and other books.

The breakout sessions at this conference are great. I may be giving a session on growing a farmers market and Phoenix Gardens may be a farm tour destination.

This is an excellent conference and is not aimed solely at growers. Covers all aspects of the "Eat Local" and "Buy Local" movements. Best session I saw last year was a talk on fermented foods by Sandor Ellis Katz, the author of "Wild Fermentation". All about how to make and enjoy fermented foods.

Make it if you can!

I think we are going! I wanted to go last year but didn't have a ride to the location. Decatur is so much closer to home and this year my hubby is very interested in going. Hubby wanting to go is a MAJOR step for me in the fight for responsible food in our household.

We should plant to meet up BBoy!

Great Triple G.

He will find something of interest even if he isn't a big gardener

Yes. Let's make plans as we get closer.
