We had several trees destroyed by Gustav. I took a walk today to the back of my 2 acres and spotted some small trees that I would love to transplant closer to the front where we had so much damage. Can someone tell me if they recognize any of these so I can find out some info on them and how and when to transplant. Thanks so much
Debbie

Thanks snapple
First one is an oak in the red oak group.
And can these pine tree babies be put in pots?
Not unless the pot is absolutely huge. They're far better off in open soil.

Thankyou so much Resin.
#2 might be Water Oak. The next to last pictures with the larger leaves remind me of sweetbay magnolia. Maybe another magnolia or something else entirely, it's hard to say
I agree with Claypa about the next to last photos. Looks like a magnolia to me.
