When is the best time and way to harvest lemon balm seeds?
I have plenty but this is my first year collecting the seeds. Do you wait until the seed pods are completely dry
or as they turn. I'm sure there is a simple way. Any help
would be appreciated! They sure are tiny varmints.
When to harvest lemon balm seeds?
Daisydo lemon balm re-seeds like wild fire. You maybe sorry for allowing it to set seed... it will be everywhere next year. I can't recall how brown the flowers got when I collected it. I remember running my hand up the flowers stalk pulling the flowers off and the little black seeds would fill my hand. Of course there was a lot of chaff too ... but if the seeds are black - they're ready.
