Need help choosing a sewing machine

The last time that I used a sewing machine was in home-ec class in junior high school. (I am not telling you the year) lol. I want to buy a sewing machine to sew simple repairs, make curtains, crafts, maybe quilt. I don't really want to spend alot of money because I am not sure how much I will even use it, but I do want to have more than just the basic features. I've seen a few machines in the sales papers for Black Friday sales for under $100. Can anyone give me alittle bit of advice? Thanks in advance, Staci
