Happy Thanksgiving and thank you for the wonderful card!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving to all! No matter what challenges/hardships/travails we have, we still have so much to be thankful for. Think of all those who have so much less than what we do.

Too cute! I love that face!!

May your stuffing be tasty
May your turkey plump,
May your potatoes and gravy
Have never a lump.
May your yams be delicious
And your pies take the prize,
And may your Thanksgiving dinner
Stay off your thighs!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Ha ha ha! Love it!!!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Eat to your hearts content.

(An old poem from Thanksgiving.com)

'Twas the night of Thanksgiving,
but I just couldn't sleep...
I tried counting backwards,
I tried counting sheep.
The leftovers beckoned...the dark meat and white,
but I fought the temptation with all of my might.
Tossing and turning with anticipation,
the thought of a snack became infatuation.
So, I raced to the kitchen, flung open the door
and gazed at the fridge, full of goodies galore.
I gobbled up turkey and buttered potatoes,
stuffing with gravy, green beans and tomatoes.
I felt myself swelling so plump and so round,
till all of a sudden, I rose off the ground.
I crashed through the ceiling, floating into the sky
with a mouthful of pudding and a handful of pie
But, I managed to yell as I soared past the trees...
Happy eating to all -- pass the cranberries, please.

Happy Turkey Day to you and yours my American friends ^_^. This is one good day to look upon with wide open eyes and wonder to see all that you have. May your day be so full that you burst a button of your heart.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Great poem, Polly! Thanks for sharing. I wish we really did float away when we stuffed ourselves like that, instead of the reality where we just where we can barely move and have to unbutton our pants.

Dahlia, I would rather burst a button of my heart than my pants.

Nice turkey pic, Deb.

JoAnn, I've seen that Lorenzo, The Flying Frenchman video before. That is truly magnificent what he can do with those horses. Having done a lot of riding myself in the past, I can definitely appreciate what it takes to do what he does. I was never athletic enough nor brave (foolish?) enough to attempt anything like that with my horses. Always wished I could be like that, though.
