more memory...should I?

I remember a yr or so ago I had an extra memory board (I guess that is what it was) installed cuz it was supposed to not only give more memory but help speed things up a bit. Since then I've gotten a scanner, new printer (both of course came w/software) and most recently a digital camera and software that came with it (downloading stuff as well as "memory albums", "customizing" etc....). It seems to take a while for the camera/picture requests to go from one place to another. Anyone think I could, or should, put in another memory board? Would it really make a difference? (As in speed?) (Am also thinking if I'm gonna save all these pics I am just going to really lose memory.)
