Anemone Honorine Jobert

Georgetown, SC(Zone 8a)

I love anemones and have been wanting to plant Honorine Jobert in my garden. I'm told that it's best to give it protection from afternoon sun in our zone.
Is anyone growing it in the Carolinas? If so, I'd love some tips on growing it here. How much shade can it take? What are good companion plants?
Etc, etc. :)

I have several possible locations and am trying to decide if any will work.
Thanks!

Hi Deb, I've got mine growing in amended sandy loam, on the east side of my house. I think it would like more sun, judging from how much it leans, so I transplanted some out into the full sun late this year too, but it bloomed like crazy with sun until about 1pm.

It's a vigorous plant, tough and beautiful in bloom.

Thanks, Sweetbay.
I have sand, but not much of the loam part :->, and alot of clay.
However, I'm amending like crazy so I think I'll go for it this year.
I appreciate you help!
