CLOSED: Daylily Seeds for SASE - Hand pollinated - Any interest?

Franklin, WI(Zone 5a)

I am going to go through my 2007 seed crosses and make a list of what is available for an sase. I would really hope these would end up with folks that would grow and nurture them, and keep me updated on their progress (ie: bloom photos etc).

Would there be any takers?

Sandy

Hi Everyone

This is what I've got documented so far...I discovered many of my crosses for 2007 don't have the pollen parent listed, so my list is shorter than I anticipated. If you would still be interested in seeds with pod parent only names, I can throw in a few packs of those in addition to what you choose below. The seeds I am sharing may contain as little as two seeds and others up to ten (with the average being five). I will fill the requests on a first come, first serve basis based on when the envelopes arrive. Thanks for growing my babies!

Hi, I hope I'm not too late to jump on the train. Will get an SASE out pronto

Huber Heights , OH(Zone 5b)

Is it to late to send a sase we are interested if it is not to late

Is there any chance I can participate in this?
Sending a SASBE from here wouldn't work too well, but I'll very happily send you a US bank check instead if you just suggest how much.
There is no problem sending seeds here and no phyto certificate is required.

Please let me know! I would really love to grow out daylillies that look anything like either of your photos on this thread!

Greenwich, OH

Hello:Sandy:
I would be interested in some of your daylily seed crosses for sasbe.I also have some crosses of daylily seeds I crossed this year and have been in the refridgerator for stratification.I can send you a email what crosses I have available.
Thanks!

I would love some seeds, too. I don't even care if there are any names on them at all. If you've got seeds with no names on them, I'd be happy to take them and grow them out to be surprised! :-) I just grow them because I enjoy Daylilies! I don't care what color the blooms are! :-)

Seedsower, do you think any of your daylilies would grow in USDA 9/Sunset 13? If they would I would really enjoy growing your lilies and would keep you updated on how they do in my zone. I haven't grown lilies before but am really interested. I have Lyle, who propagates lilies from seed, on the Southwest Gardening forum to help me along.

I've got plenty of seeds pod parent only, so mention if you would like a few packs of those also.

Postage varies here at my post office...sometimes they want only 2 stamps on a bubble envelope, other times up to 4...it depends on the person I get, so please don't be offended that I'm asking for 4 stamps :)

NO NEED TO SEND BUBBLE ENVELOPE-I have plenty! Just postage please!

Thanks again!

To Everyone Participating (who reads this!)

I'm starting to receive envelopes, but most have not included your DG name with your envie.

Could each of you respond to the DG mail I sent you and provide your full name/address so I know which envelope belongs to which Daves Garden member?

It'll just be quicker than trying to figure out who's who.

Thanks!

I sent you a dmail. I also made sure that I put my real name and DG name on the note I enclosed to you with the postage etc. Thanks.

Thanks!

Montgomery, TX(Zone 9a)

Same here seedsower enjoy your Thanksgiving.
I'm in love with that last picture you posted, that particular daylily reminds me of fresh linen.

Franklin, WI(Zone 5a)

Hi Trouble...

I really like the last seedling photo I posted too. Of the handful of seedlings I've grown so far, if I were to consider registering one, this would be the one. It has great form, is fertile and produces a lot of blooms. Plus, the color is great (although I seem to lean towards melon/orange colors in daylilies which is odd for me...not fond of much orange in the garden otherwise). I like the "Fresh Linen" association you gave it...I wonder if there's one registered under that name!

Montgomery, TX(Zone 9a)

Hello ssedsower......
I AM a big fan of all the oranges, like nanny_56 they push one of my buttons.
To me that seedling looks like fresh linen freshly pressed and crisp!
It is a beautiful daylily and one you should be very proud of.
I'm curious now if there is one named that.
That would be something I will have to Google.
Searching,
April

Franklin, WI(Zone 5a)

Hey April

Did you know you can search registered cultivar names here? I forgot about this site since I don't visit the AHS website nearly as often as I should!

http://www.daylilydatabase.org/

Montgomery, TX(Zone 9a)

Thanks I knew about it but had forgotten about it as well.
Well there was no result found with "Fresh Linen" name.
