The Smallest Dahlia Flower

southern willamette , OR(Zone 7a)

This was just about the smallest, full grown Dahlia that I've seen before. I thought that the "dahlia folks" out there might find it interesting.

If there are other tiny ones out there like this, i'd love to see them!

Oh, I forgot to mention that it is actually growing on a full size stalk. Well, about 3' anyhow.

Thanks for sharing redchic. I haven't seen any that small on standard size plants that aren't balls or pompoms but if you check the 'mini' or 'novelty' classification in the catalogues you will find some out there I'm sure. There are border/bedding size plants that have small flowers. Suitzus Julie (border) is my smallest flower at 1" http://www.ferncliffgardens.com/displayFlower.php?id=216
