CLOSED: Native butterfly Weed Seeds

Have tons of seed from our butterfly weed (native) coming up in our fields left and right.......Bright orange!

That is very pretty. Are they easy to grow? I don't have much to trade but I'd like to give it a try. I need to make a "have" list.

From what i understand.. they are second year bloomers.

I WS'ed some from seed this past spring, and they got tall [2' or so] and did well, even the "Cats" enjoyed them.... I'm hoping for lots of blooms next season.

Yes I would. hey are beautiful.

The ones that I got last year bloomed last year, but then that might just be us. I have the yellow ones coming up all in my flower bed. I got wise and started nipping off the pods when they appear.
