Hi, everyone. I was just wondering if anyone has ever heard of a yellow wisteria. I have a friend whose daughter claims to have seen one, and then a friend of her daughter, who is also a member of our local garden club, who says that there is a yellow wisteria. I have not seen any mention of it in the threads here in DG, nor could I find anything in a search in Google. I have doubts that there is one. Please let me know if anyone knows of one, as I'd love to get one if there is. Thanks!

Yellow Wisteria
There's nothing in genus Wisteria that is yellow. However, there might be things that have flowers that look somewhat similar but are yellow and because of that someone calls them wisteria even though they're not.
Thanks, ecrane3. I didn't think there was.

Perhaps they are confusing it with Yellow Necklace Bean (Sophora tomentosa).

That's a possibility....

Google images for Laburnum anagyroides. It's not a wisteria but has similar looking flowers.
I can see how that tree could easily be confused with wisteria. Very beautiful! Thanks.
