do you wear gloves for mosaic?

Hi,

I am doing a BB mosaic and my hands are getting cut by the glass. At the moment I have small cuts in all my fingers and some are getting inflammed. I also get small bits of glass stuck in the skin.

Should i wear gloves? If so, what type?
