Luna Moth (Actias luna)
My daughter and I see them here where we live a lot mostly in the fall! The color is more of a creamy tan with a green hue.
When first of the cool nights of fall arrive we find them under our yard light. We at first only saw one or two but now when fall comes sneaking upon us we look for more of them. We live in the north part of Illinois close the the river.
