A photo of Reblooming Bearded Iris "Autumn Tryst" from this morning (Oct 13 2008) just west of Ft Lauderdale (Zone 10). It is accompanied by Morning Glory "Mount Fuji Purple" in the photo.
Bearded Iris Autumn Tryst
nice combination!!
Don't the roots of the MG choke out the iris rhz?
The Morning Glory is actually in a container so I can control the amount of sun it receives. They typically don't grow/do well here in South Florida (Zone 10).
Hm . . . . . looks like I'll be potting MG cuttings today.
That sounds like a good plan. I especially like the Mount Fuji Morning Glory because the flowers are quite large (3-4 inch diameter) and they stay open the entire day. It also has variegated foliage It does seem to be a slow grower though (at least for me it has). Heres a picture from this morning of another color in the Mount Fuji Series. This is Morning Glory Mount Fuji Sky Blue.
