need info from someone in a similar zone about roses, climbing roses.
i have added some climbing roses over the last year or so to my borders and clem groupings. so far so good. the ones i put in last year survived. i added some others this year.
they did pretty well. what i want to know is
1. how do i prepare them for winter in my zone. extra mulch? prune when? how low?
2. do the long canes on the roses that are on the plants now come back green and blooming next spring?
i am not planning on a serious rose adventure, but i would like to set these up for success and know if the old wood comes back next year.

niobe there are lot of rose growers in your climate on the rose forum. You will get some excellent advice over there.
