I have a beautiful healthy aristolochia (Dutchman's pipe or pipevine) in my yard. It's not in bloom and I don't have any seeds. I've tried cuttings in both water and soil with rooting hormone and without and nothing happens. What am I doing wrong? I live in South Florida. Thanks for any suggestions!
Help? How do I propogate my Pipevine from cuttings?
According to my propagation book, tip cuttings should be taken in early spring or softwood cuttings until mid-summer. Maybe it's just your timing?
thanks pagancat - maybe that is it. i'll try in spring again. :)
Hopefully, you'll get some seeds off of it this year as well - I started some off of my A. fimbriata and they started very easily. Neat plants!
