Anyone growing Hibiscus rosa-sinensis 'Red Hot'

Recieved some cuttings for this in a trade and wondering if anyone around here grows it or knows much about it. I will assume just treat it like any tropical hibiscus???

This might be a Red Hot. There are lots of names for this one, another would be H. cooperii.

It has the characteristics of an easy to root hibiscus. I think the ones with the smaller leaves like this one are closer to the species. This makes a great plant, you will love it. .

I'm going for foliage with this one not the flowers so I think it might work out well.

You are right, I don't know if mine rarely blooms or if I just don't notice the flowers because it is the foliage that matters.

You will have to protect it on cold nights, mine is in the ground and I never covered it last wsinter. It did lose it's leaves but the picture I posted was taken in early spring so it re-leafs quickly.
