Is it unhealthy.....

for wild birds (wrens, sparrows, finches, doves, jays, grackles, and kingbirds) to eat chicken primarily chicken scratch? I also use a fruity and berry type mix that the jays enjoy. I am trying to reduce expenses and enjoy feeding the birds. They are conditioned to daily feeding and fresh water. I don't want to hurt them, but am considering the food a place to find a few extra dollars. Any ideas are appreciated.

I will post this again on another forum in hopes it doesn't violate some TOS.

It won't hurt them at all. They have access to other kinds of food in the wild, so they will get the variety they need. If they will eat it, go ahead.
