Make your own fill in forms?

What is the secret to making ones own fill in the blank forms? I have to take our copied forms to the old electric typewriter to fill in forms w/ specific data re: chemical make up for steel plate. I know that 2008 must have a better way. We put this data on our company name for blind shipments. Any help?
