Medical Insurance worries

My DH was laid off a couple of years ago and decided to simply retire. I'm still working
at the same company he was (before he retired). Well - we just got the medical insurance
info pack from the company for him. This will be the same as I get when I retire. It was
awful! $800/mo plus 10% copay. He is on my plan so no issue now but my lord! What do
we do when I retire?

So he looked at private plans just to see what options there are. He has talked to agents
for 12 of the 14 companies servicing PA. All denied him due to pre-existing condition.
Is anyone else finding this? I guess I heard horror stories but this time its really hitting home.
