I was bragging to the lady behind me in the grocery store that I had scored some really cheap mulch from a city give-away site. She told me that I was going to be sorry because the city isn't careful to make sure it doesn't contain gypsy moth eggs. She said she got bad mulch from a green house last year now her trees are full of moths, and now drives all the way to Iowa to get safe mulch. Short of the long drive, is there any other way to make sure I'm getting egg-free mulch? A neighbor says he buys pallet mulch, but I'm not clear where to find it.
