Here is the one of the Stars that was taken off after it was grouted. All of the following mosaics were made from broken tile that was delivered to us, during the delivery the truck pulling the trailer had some kind of mishap and broke a whole pallet of tile.. these are some of the mosaics that I made so that we could salvage some tile, as we could barely find enough for our whole house... so, here goes..
This is star number 1, it was installed after doing a cut out of the section, when the cut out was done, they removed the self-leveling under it and thus ruined the star, they installed it with several places sunk in, you can't tell this by this photo because it was not grouted, after the grout was put in, it litterally made the bottom of your shoes stick to the pointed edges and you almost fell, so, it had to come out... they put a second one in, and they completely ruined the second also, they broke and set the star completely crooked.. they did replace it with one almost the same size, a little smaller design which I'll post last.
