MY VERSION OF A TEXAS BIRD BATH

Edgewood, NM

As a relocated natural born Texan, please do not take offense for my humor here. When we converted satellite dishes, I was left with this large fiberglass dish to dispose of or recycle. I decided it would make a lovely addition to our front yard and allow me to grow some cattails. I have a small spitting fish and pump to circulate the water, but of course still get the hairy moss in late summer but I just rake it out. The birds seem to truely enjoy it and I feel I get the best of all worlds. You will see a couple of other posts where I have recycled things for garden architecture. Too shallow for fish, but maybe a frog will drop by for a visit.
