I planted about 6 varieties of canna's the beginning of this year. They were provided to me by a generous DG member the end of last year. I planted them in February/March (I think)
All of them came up - but one of them grew faster and taller than others and it actually bloomed. The others dont look like they will bloom at all this year.
Is this normal? I did not research to see which variety did better is sun/partial sun/shade, etc. The markers I used are faded now - so I cant see what variety they are to do the research now.
These were planted directly in the ground in an area that has part sun - at least 6 hours a day. But I am going into the time of year where I will get no sun at all until February/March of next year.
I have some yellow canna in a pot that just goes crazy every year, blooming all summer long. So I was just curious.
New Canna's not blooming
They Need lots of Fertz Cannas are Heavey Feeders Paul
I wondered if that was the problem....thanks
