CLOSED: Free - Tiger Lily bulbets

Mequon, WI(Zone 4b)

These are true Tiger Lilies (not ditch lilies). I have about a half-cup of bulbets that I could divide up and send to 2 or 3 people. I think they take a few years until they will produce flowers. They eventually grow to about five feet tall. I had over 80 blooms on five stalks this past summer. Bloom time here in zone 4 is late July to early August.

Send me a dmail if you'd like some!

Okay, I think what I have can be split between the two people who have responded. I am glad I could spread the 'Tiger Lily' joy!!

Oops - guess what I really have are called bulbils!

BULBIL - a small bulb that develops ABOVE ground from a bud. Bulbils may be formed on the stem from axillary buds.

BULBLET - a small bulb that develops AROUND a parent bulb and can be removed to propagate additional plants.

Gee, those are beautiful. I hate I missed out on this one.

I will do this again next year. I get hundreds of bulbils off my five plants, and while they are very beautiful flowers (the hummingbirds like them too!), I really don't want them spreading all over the place :)
