Those red concrete, curved edgers

I have a hypothetical question...you know those red, concrete, curved edgers - the ones with the scalloped top that you can get just about everywhere?

Does anyone think you can dress them up and sort of do a mosaic on the sides of them to cover up the icky red concrete part? Maybe with river rock?

Thought crept into my mind today at work.
