Tree Tomato

A friend gave me a few fruits from a tree tomato and am curious if anyone else has tried growing it.

Maybe ask over in "Vegetable Gardening" They're not difficult from what I understand. I've never grown them.

Slice the fruit in half to expose the seeds. Scoop the seeds out and smash them on a paper towel to separate them from the pulp.
Plant the seeds in pots and grow them till they get at least six inches tall. They are then ready to place in your garden.

Cyphomandra betacea likes to be in full sun in your area. They like well drained soil which is high in organic matter. When the plants are about two feet tall pinch the apical growth off to encourage branching. They need to be watered and fertilized regularly to produce well.
If you take good care of them, the plants will last a few years.
